Ground-water level changing

Dear sir,

I simulated a 350 cm soil column with the lower boundary condition is "Seepage Face" with h=0 as the bottom of my column is groundwater.
However, I still not satisfied since the result did not represent the real condition. In real condition the groundwater level is changing due to precipitation and also lateral flow from the upstream.
My question is how to specify the Lower BC using Hydrus 1D, if we would to consider the groundwater level changing.
If Hydrus 1D can not to solve it, can Hydrus 2D do that?

HYDRUS-1D certainly cannot account for lateral flow since it is a one-dimensional model. To account for any two-dimensional processes and factors, you would need a 2D model.

Obviously, you can have changing position of the groundwater table in the 1D model as well. See the Test2 example. You would have to you a different bottom BC to allow that.
