solute transport BC

Hello everyone

I'm trying to model solute (Tracer: Br) transport through a lab column with constant head at top and seepage face at bottom. Column is fully saturated and Br concentration is known (mmol/L). So it's not solute free at the beginning of experiment. No solute flux or concentration is applied during the test. Br concentration of collected effluent is measured over time. I'm wondering what would be the upper and lower solute BC in this case?

Use the Cauchy (third-type) BC at both ends. At the outflow BC, the Cauchy BC will automatically be transformed into the Neumann BC (as is explain in the manual). J.
