Inverse Model Input

Post by litlux » Wed Aug 14, 2019 1:11 am

Hi all,

Hope you are all doing great.

I have one question regarding to input for the inverse model.

For the position column, for type 0, it is stated that "the code for specified boundary". Am I right that upper boundary will be 1 and bottom boundary will be 2.

Also, for type 1, 2,4, position is the position of the observation node. In case we insert the observations nodes at the upper boundary, at several nodes in the main domain and at bottom boundary. Am I right if the positions will be in order 1,2,3.. from the upper to the bottom?

I am looking forwards to hear from you.

Best regards

1. Yes. For Type=0 (cumulative flux), position=1 for the upper boundary and =2 for the bottom boundary.
2. Yes, observation nodes are numbered sequentially, starting from the top.

Note that you could easily find the answers in the examples distributed with the HYDRUS-1D software.
