Pressure Head

Post by Alexander » Mon Aug 20, 2018 12:36 pm

Hello everybody,

I was wondering how does hydrus computes “pressure head” value? I am trying to run a simulation on a dry well. I placed an observation point on the bottom of the well. I am expecting to get “pressure head” as it as the water level at the well. Unfortunately, the pressure head is much larger then the water level.

Thank you for your assistance.

HYDRUS obtains pressure heads as a result of the numerical solution of the Richards equation for specified initial and boundary conditions, and soil hydraulic properties. J.
