Paddy -wheat system

Post by samanpreet » Fri Oct 21, 2011 2:45 pm

Dear All,
I am new to hydrus. I would like to use hydrus for a regional study having paddy -wheat growing system. The groundwater levels in our region is 70 - 100 ft. Paddy crop requires ponded water conditions for 15 days after transplanting. II have used a crop model to estimate daily drainage. but the model is upto 1.8 m of soil profile. Now i want to know that how much of this drainage water actually reaches water table. Is it possible in Hydrus??. Please guide me about some reference and solved examples..

Yes, HYDRUS should be able to address such problem.

You can find hundreds of references, in which HYDRUS has been used at:

You can search it for "paddy" to see if there were similar applications to yours.
