Can we use HYDRUS-1D as same as RETC for curve fitting

A discussion forum for RETC users. RETC is a program which can be used to analyze the soil water retention and hydraulic conductivity functions of unsaturated soils.

Can we do the same curve fitting in HYDRUS - 1D as it is done in RETC?

In general yes, but I do not think that it is a good idea. You would still need to set up some flow conditions and then ignore them while fitting only the retention data. J.
