Post by ladycares_89 » Fri Aug 17, 2012 2:59 am

I cannot run the program in this PC since it was being restricted by the admin user. Thus, I had found some that I can use Microsoft excel trough solver. Unfortunately, I find it hard since I do not know how to make it work. I am working on finding the pore size distribution index b of the Campbell (1974) model and the parameters #1138;r, á, m and n of the van Genuchten model, m=1-1/n and #1138;s=0.742 m3 m-3.
Can anyone help me how to this one using in excel?
(this are the data)
Suction Volumetric water content
h (cm H2O) #1138; (m3m-3)
1 0.742
10 0.738
30 0.713
63 0.603
100 0.526
200 0.463
1000 0.380
1995 0.367
2619 0.315
10816 0.233
12589 0.284
575510 0.101

RETC was designed for Windows XP and older systems and there indeed can be problems with UAC on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or newer Windows. However, there are at least two simple solutions:

1/ Run RETC "As Administrator" or use the "Compatibility mode" see http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11 ... rator.html

2/ If you have Windows 7, install "Windows XP mode" (see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... s-xp-mode/) and run RETC there.
