Don't get Qr in my results

Post by Ikenna » Fri Apr 13, 2012 7:20 am

Hi dear,
I'm using RETC to predict hydraulic parameters from measurements of water content and potential. After I run the program, I only get Qs, alpha and n in the ASCI output file.
Why am I not getting Qr?

Thanks!

It is probably equal to zero. It should be mentioned in the output file. J.

Dear Jirka,
Even with Qr equal to zero, it should be associated with a standard error, isn´t it?. I am getting a bunch of Qr=zero, however I need the standard error to compare the quality of the prediction with other methods (e.g., inverse modelling).
Thanks!

RETC (which is not written by myself) stops fitting Qr if its fitted value drops below 0.001. It then sets Qr=0, and drops it from the list of fitting parameters. The code can then not give you the standard error. J.
