estimating the transportation parametes

Post by Jani » Mon May 09, 2011 9:09 pm

Hi ,

I am inversely estimating to determine the transportation (pore water velocity and dispersivity) parameters; with the transportation parameters from the first step do inverse modeling with the COD-data (chemical oxygen demand) to find the degradation.

Data for inverse solution are: water content and ECw (ds/m) by TDR probes at two depths. First I put ECw data at tow depths with code 4 and then I put water content data with code 2 in Hydrus, but i don't know how can i mange my data in stand mode?

Flux was 1 cm/hr.

Could you please give me some advice on that? I'd really appreciate.

Thanks

In STANMOD, you can not have water content in the objective function. Water flow must be at steady-state in STANMOD (CXTFIT), and thus water contents and velocities must be constant throughout the soil profile. You can use water contents in the objective function only in HYDRUS.
