I would like to know about the possibility of modelling the distribution of a contaminant concentration, through a soil column, after applying an electric field, in order to decontaminate it, by using a Stanmod code.

I have already worked with Stanmod.
My doubt is: as we have a migration due to an electric field, and not due to gravity, it is still possible to model the distribution with CXTFIT?
It should be noticed that the electroosmotic flow ocurred in the reverese direction of the anion flux...

Bruna: CXTFIT provides very accurate results for the equilibrium and nonequilibrium CDE with constant pore-water velocity subject to various boundary and initial conditionsDHowever, these conditions are obviously too simple compared to the reality. It is really up to you how you interpret the transport with the electroosmotic flow. It may be worthwhile trying a simple transport model from an engineering point of
view, however, it is generally necessary to use a physically suitable model to describe the reality. I would recommend you to carefully read the HYDRUS-1D manual as well. Nobuo
