Hello everyone,
I have data sets for the measured volumetric water content of the potted plants. Also, I have data sets for measured actual evapotranspiration
inside the greenhouse. Can I derive or estimate Fedde's parameters from the two data sets I mentioned above? Fedde's parameters are provided in the database only for
a limited number of crops. I would like to determine Fedde's parameters for the Petunia flower.
Thanks in advance,
Hadi

Re: Feddes parameters in root water uptake
You certainly can. However, you will have to use some external optimization tool (e.g., Pest, UCode, or some Python or MatLab code) rather than internal HYDRUS calibration, which is not set up to estimate Feddes’ parameters. Internal HYDRUS calibration is set up to estimate only soil hydraulic or solute transport/reaction parameters. J.
