Sensitive parameters for the bottom flux

Post by Yuling Zhang » Tue May 16, 2023 1:30 pm

Hi dear professor Jirka and dear all,

I am trying to fit the water flow module of the Hydrus1D model with the actual experimental results.

However, the simulated bottom flux is around 0.7cm/min, while the experimental results are around 0.3cm/min. There is no problem with the input value of the model, and the cumulative value can also reach water balance. It's just that the average of the bottom flow is large.

I have tried to manually calibrate the model by adjusting many soil hydraulic parameters, but I found that none of these parameters are very sensitive to the value of the bottom flux.

I would like to ask everyone if there are any more important or sensitive parameters for the results of bottom flux.

Sincerely thanks for any help!

Best regards,

Yuling
