Water Transport

Hi,
I am modelling basic water transport in a soil column. I have Precipitation (entered to precip) data and ETo (entered to rtop) data as variable boundary conditions, from the definitive concept of ETo, I am assuming that the evaporative demand of the atmosphere can be considered independent of crop type, crop development or management practices, I am correct that the data provided is what is needed and that my assumption of evaporative demand of the atmosphere is CORRECT?
Secondly, have a 1 meter, 3 layered soil material with the following hydrological parameters;
Material Qr [-] Qs [-] Alpha [1/cm] n [-] Ks [cm/hour] l [-]
1 0.0471 0.3799 0.0356 1.6008 3.1725 0.5
2 0.0471 0.3799 0.0356 1.6008 3.1725 0.5
3 0.0471 0.3799 0.0356 1.6008 3.1725 0.5
Since these are my initial conditions, I expected my water contents to start with a lower soil value (say close to residual), but it starts with values close to saturation.
Also please confirm that since i have residual and saturated soil water contents (estimated by Rosetta), I do not need model Warm-Up period?
Thank you for your views,
