I was wondering if you could explain on the difference between cRoot [M/L3] (read from solute.out) defined as Mean solute concentration of the root zone, and cvRoot/vRoot (read from solute.out and T_level.out) Actual root solute uptake [M/(L^2.T)] devided by actual transpiration rate [L/T]?
If I want to know the overal amount of root water uptake at every time step, and its corresponding concentration which of the two should I use?

cRoot (from solute.out) is simply the average concentration of the root zone, i.e., an integral of Conc over the rooting depth, divided by the rooting depth (basically, an arithmetic average). This value thus does not reflect the spatial root distribution (its intensity; Beta). If you divide cvRoot (Actual root solute uptake [M/(L^2.T)]) by vRoot (actual transpiration rate [L/T]), you will get the average concentration taken up by plant roots at a particular time. J
