Modelling a rock profile

Hi,

I am wondering how I would go about modelling a rock profile? I am doing a project with Hydrus and my professor suggested using the van Genuchten parameters, but are those only for soils? I'm trying to model rock profile with a highly fractured layer on top a lower-fracture layer on the bottom.
