Calibration of the model

Post by July » Thu Sep 03, 2015 8:10 am

Dear all,
I am at the beginning of my modeling with hydrus and have firstly run some calibration tests before I am starting with inverse solution modeling. I have got meteorological data (e.g. wind velocity, humidity, temperature) and time variable bc (precipitation). In addition I have discretized the soil profile and taken the van Genuchten mualem model calculating the parameters on basis of measured data (bulk density, sand, silt, clay content). I even got a measured root Distribution. All this data is measured and seems plausible to me (e.g. 650 mm precipitation per year for a German site) but I have almost no fluxes and unrealistic water Contents and pressure heads. Also there seems to be NO sensibility in the model. I have tried changing several Parameters and the curves remain exactly the same. I don't know what I did wrong. Is there any prepared simulation in the directory folder I could use for this purpose? Thank you.
