Editing ATMOSH.IN file for 30 years simulation

Post by Jude » Tue Nov 26, 2024 4:05 pm

Hi,

I'm simulating nitrate leaching for a 30-year period, but I received a warning that the file size is too large for the interface to handle. I tried editing the ATMOSPH.IN file directly in the subdirectory using Notepad and Excel, but it's complicated due to the way the data was structured in the ATMOSP.IN file.

Can anyone help with a better way to handle this?

Thank you.

If you edit the Atmosph.in file, you only need to change the number of records (at line four) and keep on using the same formatting as in the current file (which does not seem to be such a difficult task), and everything should work fine.

If you find this tedious, you can upgrade to Version 5 of HYDRUS, where we dropped these limits. You can easily have more than one million meter records.
