Hi-
I ran a simulation in HYDRUS 1D and all the post-processing graphs of course appear in the results on the right side of the program. Some of the post-processing results graphs don't open up. The program just becomes unresponsive and then I have to shut it down completely. I was assuming that this was happening because there was too much data to plot in the graphs and this was freezing the program up. I cut the number of print times down to 10 from 100 and I though this would solve the issue since there was less data to plot in the graphs but it has not gotten rid of this error. What is going on here and how do I get the program to not freeze up and get these graphs to open up.
Thanks.

Re: post processing - can't see graph output files
You can look directly at the nod_inf.out file (the source of the Profile Information graph) to see what’s wrong with it. J.
Re: post processing - can't see graph output files
Is there every any situation in the use of HYDRUS 1D where the number of print times affects convergence (whether or not it happens) or anything else about the modeling results? I would think the number of print times would not impact the results.....this is just the data that gets printed out on non_inf or other output files or the graphs. In my particular situation I am now seeing that only the time = 0 print time is present in the nod_inf file.....so even though I have 100 print times (I changed this back up from 10), I only see one time printed. I tried altering with the other iteration criteria and this did not get the convergence to happen. Convergence only happens when the print times are cranked up to 100 (rather than 10).
Re: post processing - can't see graph output files
The number of print times should not affect the results in any way (unless you have so many print times that they affect time stepping, e.g., violating the initial or minimum time steps). J.
Re: post processing - can't see graph output files
The Nod_Inf.out file has only one time despite the fact that I have used 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 print times. What are the reasons that a Nod_Inf.out file would only end up with one time. I don't think I have somehow altered the interation criteria or time discretization settings so that only one time should be showing in the Nod_Inf.out file but I am not sure because for some of my results multiple print times of data do show up in the Nod_Inf.out file.

From your questions, I assume, you have only a very little idea of what you are doing. You should first do some tutorials before starting your own projects. See:
