Hi all,
I am running a simple simulation (see attached file). I have a simple Richards' equation and Solute Transport.
In Richards' equation I have as boundary conditions: 1) Lower Boundary conditions: Variable Pressure Head, 2) Upper Boundary condition: Constant Flux.
I have noticed that changing the values of the Constant Flux (e.g. from 0 cm/d to 100 cm/d) does not have any effect on the concentration results at the observation points, which is sort of weird. Maybe a bug? (but I prefer to believe that I am doing something wrong.)
Could somebody tell me if in their case the results of concentration change? I would expect an increase of concentration since the constant flux on the top will act as a sort of pulling force.

When you use time variable BC at the bottom, use it at the top too (atmospheric or variable flux BC). J.
