I am Koji.
I am facing on a trouble in triggered irrigation for bare soil using Hydrus-1D ver. 4.17.
Evaporation data given a constant value in variable boundary condition is automatically been 0 cm/h after the first irrigation using triggered irrigation mode.
The condition of the project is as follows;
Soil type: Sand
Soil length: 100 cm
Length unit = cm
Time unit: hr
Initial time= 0 hr, Final time= 48hr
Upper boundary condition: Atmospheric BC with surface run off
Variable boundary condition: Precipitation = 0; Evaporation rate 0.03 cm/h; hCritA=100000
This condition is continued for 48 hrs.
Bottom boundary condition: Free drainage
Triggered irrigation condition
Observation point = 1 (at the point of a 1-cm deep)
Pressure head triggering irrigation = -100 cm
Irrigation rate = 0.25 cm/h
Irrigation duration=1 hr
Lag time= 0
Initial condition of all nodes = - 50 cm
I think that triggered irrigation was conducted because irrigation is repeated when the threshold was changed into -50 cm. However, the rTop in the T_Level.out are changed from 0.03 cm/h to 0 cm/h after the first irrigation.
I want to know how to solve this trouble. Please give me any advice.

I must have already fixed that in my latest files since I do not see this behavior. Replace the attached file (note that this is 64-bit exe). J.

Thank you for your quick reply.
However this problem has not resolved yet. I run your project using my HD-1D. As result, rTop become 0 after the first irrigation. When I have checked T_Level.out before running the project, rTop is return to 0.1 after the first irrigation. I attached the results.
Moreover, I replaced the h1d_calc.exe which you send me. Then HD-1D don't run.

Although The file size of h1d_calc.exe in ver4.17 is 1262KB, your file is 643KB.Can I replace them?

Obviously, make a back up first so that you can return to the original file if needed. J.
