Root Distribution in Root Water Uptake

Post by Martomat22 » Mon Mar 13, 2023 6:50 am

Dear all,

I am using HYDRUS 2D/3D V 3.02 for simulate Root water uptake under Subsurface drip Fertigation.

Is it possible to enter a time series of root distribution, in the root water and solute uptake section?

Please find a screenshot attached.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Martin.

While the shape parameters must remain constant during the simulation, you can certainly change both the rooting depth and rooting width with time. You need to select the “Root Growth” option on the “Main Processes and Add-on Modules” window. Then you can specify “Root Depth” and “Root Width” as a function of time in the “Root Growth Parameter” window. J.
