I have quite a basic question about new functionalities available in Hydrus2D/3D. Now, a computational domain can be set using several surfaces which makes it much easier to set up boundary and initial conditions and materials.. However, I am wondering how such surfaces are handled in the resolution. Are water flow and solute transport simulated in the whole computational domain as a unique one? Or is the simulation performed on each domain individually with specific care to handle interfaces? I imagine, much is explained about that in the technical guide but I couldn't find these information.
