I am wondering if it is possible to restart a hydrus simulation at the point of failed convergence with a new (smaller minimum) timestep rather than having to begin my simulation from the start? I am running multi-year simulations over a large physical domain and this would save me some serious time with setting appropriate physical and temporal discretization.

You can restart simulations, after adjusting the boundary conditions and print times, from the latest print times, for which pressure head (and concentration and temperature) profiles are saved. You need to import these profiles as an initial condition (using command Edit->Initial Condition->Import. J.

Hi,
Assuming that you know at what time the simulation fails, you can run it to smaller time (final time = fail time-delta t).
Then you can upload the final simulated conditions as initial condition for you debugging simulation (as Jirka mentioned).
