Hi Prof. Simunek
I want to simulate irrigation/fertigation (surface drip emitters) in my model, so I used variable flux boundary condition on soil surface, through which water and solutes entered the soil profile during irrigation/fertigation events. So now do I have to insert volumetric application rate in the column Var.Fl1 in "variable boundary conditions section" and simply set this box to the value of zero when there is no irrigation? Then it is also necessary to specify from which node of the Time-Variable Flux 1 boundary irrigation starts (special boundary conditions), but if I have more than one emitter on soil surface how can I simulate this condition?
Likewise, I used the third-type Cauchy boundary condition in this area to allow the entry of solutes at the soil surface during fertigation events. In this case, should the input urea concentrations (fertigation from emitter) be entered as initial conditions concentration (spatially around the emitter) or in some other section?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Re: irrigation/fertigation
You should specify the concentration of the irrigation water (fertigation) using one of the cValue (cValue1 is applied by default) in the same table as time-variable fluxes. J.
