Re: Mesh generation issue

Your domain contains extremely long surfaces (about 2 km) which are very thin (16 cm) – see attached figure. Mesh generation fails due to loss of accuracy. The solution is to split these surfaces into several smaller parts. It is also necessary to define reasonable mesh-refinements on these long and...

Re: Hydrus crashes when opening results

Hello Thomas, you can find HYDRUS results (and converted ASCII files) in the working directory - see attached figure. Without your project, it is difficult to tell why the program crashes when displaying the results in Observation Nodes. One of possible reasons may be that result files contain some ...

Re: Mesh generation issue

There are hundreds of possible reasons. If you send us your project, we can look into it (zip it and send the archive to support@pc-progress.com).

Re: Mesh not generated: front inconsistency error

Hello Giorgio, Thank you for your project. The topology of your domain is incorrect, there are some non-manifold edges – see the first atached figure. Unfortunately, HYDRUS still cannot detect all topological problems when checking data consistency – some problems only appear when generating the mes...

Re: Error in output values

Hello Thomas, I see that you are still using version 2.05, which is outdated and there are known problems under Windows 10. Can you try installing the demo version of HYDRUS 3.x (https://www.pc-progress.com/en/Default.aspx?h3d-downloads) and display the same chart in it? If the problem still occurs,...

Re: Export of the seepage line / phreatic line

There indeed was a bug. We have fixed it and the new installation (Hydrus3D_3.02.0690_x64.exe) is available in ELIS.

Re: problem with project name

This is a bug and will be fixed in the next installation (Hydrus 3.02.xx). The problem is with using the second dot in the project name, if you use eg "Diked 1_1", the name will be displayed correctly.

Re: SlopeCube Example problem 1a - different results

Yes, example Test1a (see https://www.pc-progress.com/en/Default.aspx?h3d2-Slope3) was created in HYDRUS 2.05 and results should be recalculated when working with this project in HYDRUS 3.02. The reason is that SlopeCube module has changed a little bit – for more details, please contact Dr. Alexandra...

Re: SlopeCube Example problem 1a - different results

Hi Frieder, I see that you are using „Custom Scale“ for the graphical display of LFSF. Can you try to use the „Standard Scale“, which corresponds to real min/max values? See the attached figure. Right-click on the scale to open the menu. Let us know if you then still have substantially different res...

Re: Problem in importing surface points from a text file

What menu-command do you use to import this file? It should be imported using „Import Geometry from Text File...“. Command „Import Points from Text file....“ expects another format (only point coordinates xyz).

Re: 3D display dissappears

You have to ZIP it. If the file size is too large, delete results (we will recalculate it) or copy it to FTP and send a link.
