Re: Import/export named views

A "named view" contains data that is project-specific and may be completely invalid in another project (for example, if FE-meshes are not identical). However, I understand the problem and agree that it would be useful to be able to export/import the 3D matrix defining the current view. We will try t...

Re: How to solve the problem of overlap between surface and surface

Creating 3D-General domains is shown in many video-tutorials available on our website, for example https://www.pc-progress.com/en/Default. ... -tutorials.

Re: Hydrus 3.x User Interface and Point Export

Gary, thank you for your comments and suggestions. I have passed this information to our programmers. Mirek P.S.: As for the mapping topological objects to mesh entities (e.g. geometric points to mesh nodes), we are planning to add all these maps to VTK files (*.vtu format - see vtkXmlUnstructuredGr...

Re: Err:

Hi Ahmed, I run your simulation in HYPAR and the calculation failed - see the attached screenshot. It is strange that the standard calculation "finished successfully" - I would say that it just did not detect the floating-point error and it probably crashed after you pressed the "Enter" key. The cal...

Re: T3D Internal Error

The problem is in incorrectly defined boundary of solid V2. See the selected surfaces in the attached screenshot - these surfaces are boundaries of solids V3 and V4, which are "internal solids" of solid V2. This is OK, since both solids indeed lie inside solid V2 and do not touch its boundary. Howev...

Re: rosetta

Roseta is a DLL with standard "c" interface and you should be able to call its functions from Matlab. Please contact Marcel Schaap (mschaap@cals.arizona.edu) to get this DLL. We use a c++ version of Roseta but we cannot distribute it.

The default video player (Movies & TV) cannot play these AVI files. Use another player: click by right mouse button on the AVI file and select "Open with - Windows Media Player".

Re: Incorrect Definition of Surface

Hi Yufan, this is not a simple problem - see my comments in attached Yufan_01.pdf. Even if you fix surface #23 (see also the attached fixed project Yufan_02.zip), there are more topological problems that must be fixed. The domain is really complex and you must have spent a lot of time with it. I bel...

Re: Boundary condition can not be set...surface does not lie on domain boundary

Ahmed, your domain is defined incrorrectly - see the two errors in the attached figure (see also the attached fixed project). This is also the reason why you cannot define BDRC on Surface #12.

Re: Surface boundary is not closed

The error is described in the message box in your figure: Boundary of the solid is not closed on curve #25. You have to fix this topological error and make the boundary of Solid #2 closed/watertight. One of the necessary conditions is that each curve must have exactly two attached surfaces and these...

Re: overlapping surfaces

Hi Ahmed, the solution is easy - if you send me your project, I'll fix it and also explain what the problem was. Please send your zipped project to support@pc-progress.com or you can insert/attach the project to this topic - it may be useful for other HYDRUS users to see the original project + the f...
