Re: Mesh Lines and confirming cumulative boundary flux rates

Hi Otthman and Jirek, I am also experiencing a similar problem with the mesh lines. I applied the mesh lines on my boundary conditions to check if the mesh line fluxes will be the same with the boundary fluxes. As Jirka mentioned, it should be the same as they are computed in the same way. The mesh ...

Re: error during mesh generation

Dear Jirka, Thank you for the recommendations. Different simulations using stretching factors of X=10 and X=100 have mass balance errors of less than 1%. However, the stretching factor X=10 gave a more realistic simulation than the X=100. There was a big difference in the generated streamlines and b...

Re: error during mesh generation

Dear Jirka, Thank you so much for the suggestion! I was able to make a 2000 m domain with the height of a node at ~0.03 m with an anisotropy ratio of 100 using the stretching factor function. I tried doing a 1000 m domain with stretching of X=100 and X=10. The streamlines are different and I seem to...

Re: error during mesh generation

Dear Mirek, This is an old thread. But I want to ask what is the maximum resolution now for the HYDRUS 3.01? I am doing a 2D model of a coastal peatland with a transport domain length of 2000 m and a height of about 12 m. I want to have a resolution of 0.1 m (10 cm) as this is the most interesting f...

Re: problem with project name

Thanks Mirek. I have decided to use "_" instead of "." and it perfectly works fine.

Thanks,
Erwin

Re: problem with project name

I found a solution - I should avoid naming my projects with a period (.)

For some reason, the numbers after the period do not show up in the project names.

Thanks,
Erwin

problem with project name

Hi, I have a simple problem. I am saving my project as "Diked 1.1" and "Diked 1.2" but both of them keep showing in the Project Navigator as "Diked 1". I know this is simple but it is annoying and I keep on making mistakes when I open multiple projects. Has anyone encountered this and how do I solve...

You probably have view-stretching turned on - can you check it?
M.
I have not checked it. Does the narrow height of the sand dune affect the generated mesh?

Thanks,
Erwin

elongated mesh

Hi, I am just new to HYDRUS 2D. I am generating my mesh for a coastal peatland with an artificial sand dune along the coast. I am making a vertical transect from the peatland to the beach. The sand dune height is about 4 m and the peatland is probably at 0.5 m. For my mesh, my TS is 0.75 m and stret...
