Sensitivity of van Genuchten equation to small changes in water contents

Has there been any work done to determine the sensitivity of the van Genuchten equation to small changes in volumetric water contents?

Kind regards,

Tom

Re: Pressure Head Range

I think this is what you are asking;
1. Right-click on the y-axis
2. Scroll down select axis, then select y-axis
3. Unselect the automatic scale box and adjust the minimum pressure from -100 to whatever you want.

Re: Hydrus Default Soil Hydraulic Parameters

Hi Jirka, Thanks very much for these references. I should have explained what I want to do in more detail. I have measured SWCCs of in-situ soils and I want to compare these soils with the default SWCCs obtained from Hydrus for a given texture to see how close the default values will get you in real...

Hydrus Default Soil Hydraulic Parameters

The default soil hydraulic parameters in Hydrus, alpha theta s theta r etc. have been taken from Carsel and Parrish (1988). Just to clarify, these soil hydraulic parameters are not actually based off of measured soil water characteristic curves (SWCCs) rather they have been determined from the measu...
