water table at a specific bottom node in Hydrus 2D
Hi, I am trying to study water tables with Hydrus 2D, I am very new to Hydrus 2D. I am using vertical 2D for this. I would like to know how to set a time variable condition at the bottom to a specific node in the bottom, please (I'll set it positive to simulate the water table at a specific time, th...

bouncing flow in evaporation experiment in the middle of the sample
Hi,
I am simulating a evaporation experiment and I am printing the flow in the middle of the soil sample.
I don´t understand why this happens, I thought it should not.
Attached, the project files and image of the "problem".
Thanks in advance.

Rosetta on modern computers
Hi, This is a little off topic, but does anyone knows how to use Rosetta on modern computers? I need lots of predictions, so to use Hydrus to open Rosetta Lite is not an option. EDIT: There is a Rosetta.dll file on Hydrus folder, Is it the Rosetta function? If yes, does anyone knows which variables ...

Fortran code for Hydrus 1D direct flow and inverse modeling
Hi, I would like to try to use other K-Theta-h relations on Hydrus 1D. Please, Is is possible for me to get the last version fortran code? Am I allowed to? I would need the direct flow code that generates H1D_CALC.EXE and the code for the inverse modeling (H1D_CLCI.EXE). It will be complicated to ch...

Re: Cumulative water flux problem
Although we have planned to do that, we have not done it. It became obvious that you can easily accomplish the same if you use the look-up tables, rather than the parametric form of the model. You can generate the look-up tables using any model you wish. J. Hi, Nice! Is there some manual teaching h...

Re: Parallels Desktop
Hi,
Are you running one big simulation, or lots of small ones?
I dont have experience with parallels desktops. But if there are lots of smaller simulations, you can run each one in a separated desktop.
It is a very silly answer, but maybe helps...

the 95% confidence limits interval - Inverse Modeling - Hydrus-1D
Hi,
(Inverse Modeling - Hydrus-1D)
Is there an acceptable 95% confidence limit interval in the Hydrus-1D output? Or we just want to minimize it?
(Using the VG - Mualem model, 6 parameter fit).
This interval is calculated? Or it is based on steps to minimize the objective function?
Thanks a lot.

Re: (inverse) Big data input on Inverse Modeling
Have you looked at our examples (either distributed with the program or posted online)? Ans: Yes. I looked at the Evaporation Experiment with inverse modeling (with Ole Wendroth), similar to my experiment. But not too much more. Have you done the inverse h1D tutorial? Ans: No. Which one? I've read t...

(inverse) Big data input on Inverse Modeling
Hi, I am having problem with inverse modeling and lots of input data. The GUI do not let me create the files through it, because it is too much data. But thats not the problem. The problem is that when I run the simulation, it gives me the answer exactly as the input. No variation, no difference on ...

RMSE on RETC
Hi, I am calculating a mean for Van Genuchten parameters, from 5 samples of the same soil using RETC. I want to compare the RMSE from some Hydrus simulations (inverse modeling) with RMSE from RETC. I think RETC do not provide RMSE directly. So I ask: Should I use the sum of squares to do it? This RM...

inverse modeling on GUI and CALC differing.
Hi, I am new with Hydrus. And I need use the H1D_CALC.exe to run the simulations (sensitivity analysis). And I will use inverse modelling . I am using the GUI to create a initial model, and then change the parameters that I need (with a Python program). The problem is that the H1D_CALC.exe is giving...
