Re: Initial Condition

Thanks ! In some paper I read that both pressure difference between top and bottom of the column and the column should be consider. In my case, columns are vertically, thus dh/L =1 (dh= difference in height thus in pressure and L column length). Is that i ?

Re: Initial Condition

Dear Jirka,
I would like to know if Ks, the hydraulic conductivity should be define d from the mean pore wter velocity (fittedwith tracer) or from experimental value. Up to know I set Ks= 0.35 mL/min because this is the outflow I measured from my column but I have some doubt about it.
Thanks

Re: general question

Dear Jirka, I trie to fit NP transport in saturated soil column and I understood that in the reaction parameters table the Disp. have to be estimated through tracer experiment. However I didn't managed to find any relevant information about the Dif.W. parameter. Could you please explain me what goes...

Re: Inverse Solution Doesn't Iterate

Jirka ,

I've actually modified my project following some advices from an Hydrus user. Here is the modified version I'm using.
Thanks

Re: Inverse Solution Doesn't Iterate

Dear Jirka, From the different tutorials you provided I understood that to model retention of NP on soil column from effluent concentration data we should provide a Kd=0, eta=0 and beta=1, then play with the ipsi1 and 2 value. However playing with these parameters I never managed to have r^2 better ...

Re: Initial Condition

Last question, you said "Qr, alpha, n, l are irrelevant. The only relevant parameters are Ks and porosity (Qs), since they together define the water flux and pore water velocity." So what about Qm, Qa, Qk and KK ? And also I mesured an flux of 0,35ml/min out of my column. So I set Ks= 0,35 is that r...

Re: Inverse solution

Dear all, I trie to model nonreactive bromide transport in a saturated sand column with stanmod. I trie to use the example 7 provided with the file but I don't manage to model transport of my tracer (fitted stay to 0 ...) could you help me with the set of transport parameters I should use ? Thanks, ...

Re: Dispersivity

Hi,
I tried to predict longitudinal dispersitvity for KBr as a non reactive tracer in a soil column,. As reading this topic, I realized I didn't set any diameter for the column. Where should I set this value ?
I was also wondering if the Diffusion in water was coumpounds specific.
Thanks,
Laura

Re: Colloid Transport Simulation

Hello, I tried to run the Colloid 1i and colloid1j we can download on the website but in this example I can not go to next on solute transport sheet because iteration criteria are all set to 0 so I'm forced to modified them.... Also, when I modified them I go to the transport parameter settings in w...

Re: Initial Condition

Dear all, I was wondering how we choose between pressure head and flux for water flow initial conditions. In other world, in the nanotubes transport examples, you are using constant pressure head as initial condition but the article only referred to steady state water flow. Thus, I don't understand ...

Re: Inverse solution

Dear Nobuo, I'm not well known with these two form of model, and even reading the two manuals, I don't really see difference between hydrus and stanmod . Could you please explain me the difference between numerical and analytical solutions, thus between the 2 models ? Thanks a lot for your help, Sin...

Re: Inverse Solution Doesn't Iterate

Dear Jirka,
I've found some tutorials on the website and processed them. However, the only description I've found are made in term of set this parameter to x without explanation about the effect of this modification...
Then, I don't know how to fit it with my experimental set up...

Re: Inverse Solution Doesn't Iterate

Dear Jirka, Thanks for the time you took to have a look on mu project. I've tried to understand and to apply the examples I've found to my experiment. Re: Inverse Solution Doesn't Iterate

I am using Hydrus 1D inverse data simulation to fit nanoparticles transport in an artificial soil column (L 3,8 cm, diam=2,4 cm) under saturated flow. I used a constant flux of solution (0,0018 m/s) and a single pulse of nanoparticles. Following Fang, 2013 http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/articl...
