Re: 3D display dissappears

I just realized that in the runtime screen output I am getting a "NaN" value for hroot after about 10 days. If I reduce the flow rate from the surface representing a septic system, I don't have the display problem. So I think I just have a problem with too much water or not enough mesh. I'm going to...

Re: 3D display dissappears

I tried to attach the model but got the error message "Invalid file extension: 3D Model 4. h3d3".

3D display dissappears

I have a 3D hillslope model using Ver 3.02.0470 and the General geometry. The model runs well but will only display the first 13 print times of results (pressure head, solute conc). After that the display only shows a wire frame model with no pressure head or solute.

Re: Error with inverse method

The solution to our problem was to open HYDRUS as Administrator.

Re: Error with inverse method

We have tried running the model on two computers, both with Version 3.01.1460, and the inverse will not run. Is there some file we could look at that might give us a better idea of why it is failing on our systems?

Re: Error with inverse method

Thank you for the suggestions. When I check for updates using the Help menu, it says that I have version 3.01.1460 which is the latest version. Do I need to go to ELIS to get version 3.10.1470?

Error with inverse method

I have made good progress in running my hillslope model using Version 3. However, when I try to run the inverse method to start a calibration process, I get an error right away about writing to an output file. I have attached some screen shots. Thank you for your attention.

That is wonderful! Can you please send the program back by email with the changes you made? This has been driving me nuts for 2 weeks...

Re: Poor solute balance

Sorry I did not make myself clear. Both models use the 2D General Geometry for mesh. So I know something else is causing the differences in solute balance. I was hoping you might be able to take a look at the 2 models (sent by email) and make suggestions. Thanks so much.

Poor solute balance

I am working on a hillslope model of Cl movement from a septic system to a lake at the bottom of the slope. Input concentrations of Cl are 40. With a simplified geometry (a parallelogram, Model 56) the water and Cl balance is very good. But with more detailed geometry, the solute balance is poor wit...

Selecting nodes for discharge using mesh

Using Version 2.05.0270, I'm having trouble selecting nodes for Nodal Discharge when I am editing properties on the mesh. If I zoom in beyond the extent of the model, the nodes (yellow boxes) do not pop up when I move the square over the mesh node. Even when I don't zoom in, some nodes close to othe...

Re: nodal discharge solute

Patagonia!! Last time I sent you a question you on the beach in Portugal (with your computer).

I tried cwell but that did not do the trick. I set up a really simple model to test it. Not sure if there is a way for me to send it to you (in Patagonia or wherever).
