December, 2022
Read the manuscript by Guleria and Chakma (2022) about the dominance of HYDRUS software in the Contaminant Transport Modeling.
November, 2022
New HYDRUS 5.02 has been released.

There is a rapidly increasing interest in modeling the fate and transport of PFAS chemicals. Version 5 of HYDRUS includes the PFAS module. This module was developed in Silva et al. (2020) and tested/applied extensively in Silva et al. (2022a) and Silva et al. (2022b).

We would like to draw your attention to a new book entitled Sprinkler and Drip Irrigation, which uses extensively HYDRUS in the chapter on Rhizosphere Modelling.

We congratulate our collaborator, Jirka Simunek, on reaching h-index of 100 on Google Scholar. He is still way short of Rien van Genuchten’s numbers (h-index of 114). We would also like to thank all HYDRUS users for using and referencing our (and theirs) work (programs and manuscripts).

We are planning an online HYDRUS short course for early September, in which we will introduce the new HYDRUS 5.01, resulting from merging HYDRUS-1D and HYDRUS (2D/3D), and including new add-on modules (PFAS, DPU, Cosmic, Particle Tracking, etc).
April, 2022
New HYDRUS 5.01 with integrated HYDRUS-1D and new add-on module (PFAS, DPU, Cosmic, Particle Tracking, etc).
February, 2022
The first in person (on-site) HYDRUS short course after the pandemic in Israel. We invite you to watch guest lectures by Drs. Rien van Genuchten, Giuseppe Brunetti, Shani Ben-Moshe, and Salini Sasidharan. See details below.

Jirka Simunek and Giuseppe Brunetti will be convening a session entitled "Modeling water flow and contaminant transport in soils" at the XXIV International Conference on Computational Methods in Water Resources (CMWR 2022), which will be held on 19-23 June 2022 at Gdańsk University of Technology in Gdańsk, Poland. We invite you to submit an abstract before 28 Feb 2022 at https://cmwrconference.org/.
