Basic Technical Support
A HYDRUS purchase includes free basic technical support for the software. This support is provided by the HYDRUS distributor from whom the program was purchased, and its scope is given by the following points:
Support includes
- Help with HYDRUS installation and activation of the program.
- Answering questions about the functions and features available in the HYDRUS user interface.
- Solving common possible problems when using the program. However, this does not apply to complicated cases requiring a detailed analysis of the customer's project and time-consuming corrections of input data. In such cases, we try to help the customer, but our assistance may be limited.
- Support is provided by email. All questions must also be submitted by email.
- Support is provided for Windows operating systems listed in the “System Requirements” for the program. The support cannot be provided for old operating systems that are no longer supported by Microsoft or for other opperating systems.
- If the HYDRUS distributor is not able to answer a difficult technical question then the question will be forwarded to PC-Progress, the HYDRUS developer, who will answer it.
Support does not include
- There is no entitlement to additional assistance with implementation, processing, and/or solutions of particular problems of Soil Physics and analysis of water flow and solute transport in variably-saturated porous media.
- There is no entitlement to additional assistance for questions related to foreign software, operating systems, hardware configurations, etc.
Program Updates and Upgrades
Customers with the HYDRUS Maintenance program will have access to all updates and upgrades free of charge (within the cost of this service). Other customers can get the current version of the program using a one-time upgrade.
One-Time Upgrade
The one-time upgrade is intended for customers who need the latest version of HYDRUS 2D/3D (for any reason) and are not subscribed to the HYDRUS Maintenance program.
