HYDRUS Projects – Triggered Irrigations
- Project Group: Triggered Irrigations
- Description: Examples demonstrating a new option to simulate irrigation triggered by a decrease of the pressure head at a selected observation node. Irrigation can be triggered at the time-variable pressure head or flux I boundaries, or at the atmospheric boundary.

- Note: These projects were created with an earlier version of Hydrus, and users using higher Hydrus versions need to convert them to their particular version.

Note that this option has recently been used by Dabach et al. (2013):
Dabach, S., N. Lazarovitch, J. Šimůnek, and U. Shani, Numerical investigation of irrigation scheduling based on soil water status, Irrigation Science, 31(1), 27-36, doi:10.1007/s00271-011-0289-x, 2013.
Measured and simulated matric heads during 96 h of the experiments with potential transpiration rate of 3.5 mm/day and with irrigation amounts of a 4 mm and b 1 mm. The irrigation threshold is indicated with a dotted line.
