The BOUNDARY Module:

  1. Initial Condition:
    Toolbar Button: ”Initial Condition”
    Import initial condition from previous example:
    Menu: Condition->Initial Condition->Import Pressure
    Select folder "plume3", file h.out.
    Select layer: 7
    Menu: Condition->Initial Condition->Import Concentration
    Select folder "plume3", file conc.out.
    Select layer: 7
  2. Water Flow Boundary Conditions:
    Toolbar Button: ”Water Flow BC”
    Select ”Constant flux”,
    Select top nodes at the soil surface between the seepage face and the left side and between the stream and the right side; specify a flux=0.05 cm/d.
  3. Observation Nodes
    Toolbar Button: ”Observation Points”
    Specify 5 points arbitrarily between the source and the stream

Execute HYDRUS
(Execution time on P5-300 = 2150)
