Hydrus-1D Projects - HP1
- Project Group: HP1
- Description: Examples demonstrating the HP1 program (coupled Hydrus-1D and PHREEQC [Parkhurst and Appelo, 1999])
- Availability: These projects are included in Hydrus-1D installation
HP1 has been tested for accuracy using examples having different levels of complexity. The problems below were solved with HP1 for verifying the numerical correctness of the coupling procedure: (i) transport problems of single or multiple components, subject to sequential first-order decay, have been compared with simulations carried out using the standard HYDRUS-1D, (ii) multicomponent transport problems for steady-state flow have been compared with simulations carried out using PHREEQC, and (iii) several more complicated problems have been compared with simulations carried out using the CRUNCH model. The CRUNCH model is a result of further development of the GIMRT/OS3D codes of Steefel and Yabusaki (1996, see http://www.csteefel.com).
